Mentioned this during Friday's mastermind: we want to share our process of building this community & get your feedback. So to kick this off....
Imo, onboarding is one of the most important aspects of the community because it's the easiest place to retain members!
Good onboarding keeps the hype going for 2-3 weeks. Weak onboarding == instant churn.
We opted for a live kick-off for a couple reasons
As we were prepping for this, here's the Notion doc I put together internally. Goal was to get all our team on the same page & write together some basic scripts to get the masterminds running smoothly without wayyy too much prep required.
We started by playing Spotify in the background (just grabbed their "Mood Booster" playlist). Music has a lot of cues built-in and makes Zoom silence not feel weird. People can ask about the song, get settled in, and it sets the tone for the rest of the call. Learned this from **@Anggun Berlian** and the rest of the Transcend team!
Just start screensharing on zoom and click Advanced > Share Computer Audio. Screenshot below
